This is a really nice trail with a number of areas to explore. It is fun to go down to the riverbed to have a look around. The loop is about 5.5km not including the steep descent to the actual falls. It is steep and zig zaggy and you may feel like it goes on and on...I can console you with the fact that it didn't feel as long coming back up...I know...odd right?!

You can take a bath at the base of the waterfall, although you can't really swim since it's not very deep. Be careful when walking or climbing on the rocks since some can be slippery. It is about a 3-4 hour hike to complete the loop track from Never Never Picnic Area. The walk is relatively flat until you leave the Blackbutt Track to Rosewood Creek Track, where you will begin a short but steep descend to the fall.
