If you want to see kangaroos in this reserve, please don't follow the google map location as it ends right in the middle of side strip off pacific highway.. Instead go to Woolgoolga headlands and you can see plenty of kangaroos with amazing views.. Same way the google map directions to Moonee Beach are also incorrect and end up right on the highway.. We stayed at Canton beach caravan park looking at about 10-15 minute walk to the club for dinner. If you are up that way it is worth while stopping and go have a look at the pink caves.
