This is a great moderate (4.6km bush trail walk their & back to car) to such a stunning beach. There are some pockets of nice shade amongst the canopy of the trees, moderate slopes mixed in with a levelled trail. It's so relaxing and refreshing to walk and hear all the native birds. You will know you're close once you hear the crashing sounds of waves and the majestic aqua green/blue backdrop 😍.

The beach itself is more on the wavy side, it's known for its harsher tides and occasionally sharks are about due to the sea colonie near by i believe, so swim with caution ⚠️ and never turn your back to the ocean. Other than that, the steamer's beach walk is such a great walk + short dip to cool off - for a perfect day trip out 😄.

Pack Lite if packing food and drinks and any other items just so you don't have to be lugging so much back up those steep stairs. Because after a long day in the sun and swimming it can get tiresome. The last thing you want is to carry so much back up those stairs and remember you still have the walk back to the car lol 😆 so pack Lite if you can. Enjoy...

A beautiful, secluded and pristine beach deep within Booderee National Park. Accessible by a 2.3km firetrail and a large number of stairs (200), one must keep in mind that the return trip is often much more tiring as the ascent requires a moderate level of fitness. I chose to travel to this beach as it seemed to be untouched and quiet, and I was not disappointed. During my 4 hour stay here, less than 5 people were on the beach at any given time. The water was crystal clear and a beautiful turquoise colour with the close side of the beach being great for wading out to waist deep water, as the waves are much more gentle on this side. Swimming in water deeper than waist deep is not advised due to a harsh shore break along most of the beach (apart from the aforementioned close side), as well as the distance from emergency services and patchy mobile reception. There is also a lack of shade meaning sun shelters or umbrellas are advisable. If you dont mind a 4.6km round trip to a secluded beach, I...

Beautiful spot! Really clean beach (except for the trash pile off to the side... Please do everyone and the sealife a favor and pack out all your own trash.) Feels very secluded since we had the beach to ourselves when we were on it, but it looks like it can get be quite popular since we passed several other groups heading down to the beach as we hiked back up. It is definitely very steep down to the beach (and therefore also steep back up) but it's absolutely with it. Wouldn't go in the water though... it looks like there are rip tides and the beach is not guarded. Note: we actually did the entire "circuit hike" after visiting Steamers and didn't think the rest of the hike was worth the effort. Do yourself a favor and reserve your effort for the climb back up from the beach and skip the rest of the circuit. Also note, there's an $11 park entry fee that's good for 48 hours, so you can also go visit Murray Beach and other areas...

A nice 2.3km walk through the forest from the car park and a steep section of stairs to get down to the beach, wouldn’t recommend walking it in flip flops. Well worth the effort, we were fortunate enough to see dolphins and seals here when watching from atop the rocks on the beach. Wouldn’t recommend this beach for swimming though, quite rough and goes very deep very quick, we had also heard warnings from others that sharks frequent this beach.
