A visit to the absolute unspoilt beauty of Warrain Beach is good for the soul, and reminds us how the Jervis Bay area and its Marine park must be protected at all costs. Leaving but footprints in the sand, I walked the length of the beach to the bird sanctuary of Lake Wollumboola, and then back, as part of a day's leisurely trip from Currarong to Culburra. On one side the crashing surf of the Tasman sea, the other the bushland of the Jervis Bay National Park. As, during my walk, the beach came to be exposed by the receding tide, its expanse and breathtaking beauty became apparent.
