A great place for camping, hiking and rock-climbing. The campground is only fairly snall, but has a drop-toilet and water-tank and is much better than the old campground.

There aren't many walking trails, and the very rough track to the top is only for the very fit and experienced hiker, but the view is well worth the effort. The first 3/4 of the track is OK, but the last 1/4 is extreme. The area could be greatly improved with some more and easier tracks, even around the base and some of the smaller surrounding hills and ridges.

The 'road' in however, is abysmal, at least at the present (October 2021). I've been here several times before and the road has always been OK, and even fine in a normal car, but this time it's almost impassable, even in a 4x4. Driving from Lake King, the road was fine until we reached the Shire of Esperance boundary and then the road turned into a washed-out, corrugated and overgrown track and our speed dropped from 80 - 90 km/h to 20 - 40 km/h. The last 50 km took us over 2 hours.

Hopefully, (pun intended) the Shire of Esperance and DPAW will do something...

Amazing place. Was a tough climb but worth the views. Don't attempt if wet or windy warning at the base. Good foot wear a must. I wore sneakers but would have preferred good hiking boots for ankle support and better grip. Road in was okay, few rough patches with correlation and bog holes. 4wd required. Would be careful if rain within a week of heading out there as roads look this...
