This is a great place to visit especially if you have a dog. There's a boat wreck in the middle of the beach and other interesting ruins. Also a statue out in the water. Nice clear water for a swim and not much seaweed. Looks like a fishing spot off the end of the groin too. If this review has been helpful please like it.

Fantastic place to walk the dogs or for a morning cycle, run, swim and coffee!!♡. Well maintained by the council. Exciting to see what the new developmet will do to increase numbers at this fabulous prestigious beach. Exceptional spot for exercising horses too as the sun rises .

Best place for dogs and people to cool down in summer, it's a lively place to be when everyone is walking their dogs. I recommend going during quieter times if you want more space and quiet. This is one of our happy places for sure!!! Beautiful beach.

This is my favourite dog beach! It's mostly off-lead. It now has the added option of a new and extended on-lead dogs only beach area South of the groyne.. There's also good swimming for humans at either area plus snorkelling at Robb Jetty/ CYO'Connor statue sites (tide and swell willing). There are, set back behind the dunes, bbq/grassed picnic areas at both the McTaggart Cove (Powerstation end) access road and the more northern access road end. Northern end also has the playground and a much better shinier toilet block and showers. McTaggart Cove end is at the moment being let down by the falling down, hazard- fenced- off shade/picnic table area that has been that way for about 2yrs. Also, the faded lines of the parking bays have an impact on a hot busy beach days. There is less discouragement of crooked, double bay parking style taking up the then limited...

C.Y. O'Connor Reserve is a Fremantle gem. Great playground keeps kids happy, while the calm beach is perfect for families. Dog beach access is a plus for furry friends. Public facilities at McTaggart Cove add convenience. Explore the nature reserve for a touch of natural beauty. Pack refreshments - no shops nearby. Overall, a fantastic spot for...

A great beach and picnic area with a large grassed playing field for the young ones. Good BBQ facilities and a fair bit of parking available. This place does get busy on weekends and public holidays so get in early. Beautiful calm beach with white sands and crystal clear water. Good walking and cycle paths pass...
