CY O’Connor Reserve — Attraction in North Coogee

This is my favourite dog beach! It's mostly off-lead. It now has the added option of a new and extended on-lead dogs only beach area South of the groyne.. There's also good swimming for humans at either area plus snorkelling at Robb Jetty/ CYO'Connor statue sites (tide and swell willing). There are, set back behind the dunes, bbq/grassed picnic areas at both the McTaggart Cove (Powerstation end) access road and the more northern access road end. Northern end also has the playground and a much better shinier toilet block and showers. McTaggart Cove end is at the moment being let down by the falling down, hazard- fenced- off shade/picnic table area that has been that way for about 2yrs. A great beach and picnic area with a large grassed playing field for the young ones. Good BBQ facilities and a fair bit of parking available.
