Mauritius Beach — Attraction in North West Cape

The wind is cool and the water cold but the submerged rocks are slippery and the waves moderately strong. You could easily hurt yourself here. Unless you have a canoe or something like that to take you out a bit, swimming here is probably a bad idea. However, there are a reasonable number of shells and the sand isn't bad for walking on. It would probably make a good sunbathing beach but look out for a good spot to cool off in the water as there aren't many safe places. Wind direction and swell will make this a good "swimming" beach or not. Best on low swell and an easterly or south easterly wind. Limestone shelves/rocks if not covered in sand are generally easy to walk over, as are relatively smooth and don't tend to cut your feet unlike at some other places along Ningaloo.
