Northcliffe Pioneer Museum — Attraction in Northcliffe

I spent ages going over all the groovy old stuff! There's a cut out from an old farmers wall - he's recorded all kinds of great stuff including man's first walk on the moon, how to get a citrus tree to fruit beautifully...his insights are magic and one of my favourite things in the whole museum. The guide was really friendly too, and knowledgeable which is refreshing 😜 highly recommend a visit if you're ever down Windy...

Lots of relevant history. The rock and mineral collections (1200 specimens) were very impressive! Be prepared to spend some time if you like geology and/rocks!

Also a lot of local history to explore including an old school, sporting memorabilia and the work life history of Northcliffe.

The caretaker was very kind and knowledgeable.

Certainly worth a visit if you're in town...

May not be the most interesting place to visit. Yet, it held historical items that need to be preserved. Will you miss anything for not visiting this place? Probably not. But it may be a good idea to visit this place and give some appreciations to the staff & volunteers that have been working hard to preserve our history for the future...
