Less popular spot in Litchfield, but it's small so can get very crowded pretty quickly with just 2-3 groups around. The view of the fall from the lookout point is nice and serene, an okay stop to sit back and relax. Can skip this if there's no time. 🚶‍♀️Access: via greenant walk, about 40min one way. It's a nice walk in between savannah and tropical area. ♿ Not wheelchair/ pram friendly. A lot of steps, sands and stones. Wear good shoes. 🏊‍♂️The pool at the top is small, ok if you are the only one there but not worth coming all the way here for swimming when there are many groups. The water quality isn't as good either. Plus the walk is hard. 🚽Toilet + toilet paper + non potable water is available but bring your own handwashing liquid. 📶No signal, download offline map, but you won't get lost as there is only 1 road in and out of Litchfield, there are signages around. 🚗The car park is not big, can be full pretty quickly. 🍔No stall, bring your own food and drinking water. Plenty of picnic areas with dedicated firepits. 🚮 No rubbish bin inside the national park, carry your own rubbish bin and bring...

Tjaetaba Falls, located in the heart of Kakadu National Park in Northern Australia, offer a stunning natural spectacle. This waterfall is renowned for its dramatic drop and striking beauty. The falls cascade over rugged escarpment cliffs, creating a mesmerizing display of water and mist.

The surrounding landscape of Tjaetaba Falls is equally impressive, characterized by lush vegetation and striking rock formations. The area is a haven for nature enthusiasts, providing opportunities for scenic views, wildlife spotting, and photography. The falls are often less crowded than other attractions in Kakadu, offering a more serene and intimate experience with nature.

Visitors appreciate the accessible walking trails that lead to various vantage points, allowing for different perspectives of the falls. The area’s natural beauty and tranquil setting make it an ideal spot for relaxation and contemplation. Overall, Tjaetaba Falls is a remarkable destination that showcases the pristine and untouched allure of...

Make sure when you plan to come here for a swim get here very early! We got here at 7am and there was no one and slowly after 45 minutes people started to come in. The swim was amazing and surprisingly the water was so warm, but it’s a very small swimming spot. It’s a stunning 2.9 km walk with many stairs to get to the top of the falls for a swim. The viewing platform is nothing special but still worth a look, the falls were blocked by heaps of trees. It’s a small car park with limited caravan parking so we left our car at the caravan park.

It's a 2.7km walk to the top of Tjaetaba Falls and you can swim at the top of the falls (you can't swim at the bottom). As it is a moderate 2.7km walk, it's a lot quiter compared to the more popular Florence Falls and Buley Rockhole. Bring your good walking shoes as part of it is rocky and there's many stairs to go up. Although similar length to the Cascades walk, this was a much nicer and easier to do and the destination is better.
