Bamboo Creations Nursery — Attraction in Northern Victoria Region

Owner response a joke! States my review is all about not having prices on their website NO as can be clearly seen it's about not EMAILING me the prices when I make contact and request them on a particular date when I am ready to buy their online items because I can not call during their business hours, NOT because the prices are not on their website! Owner states I could take a few minutes to call when I can not during my business hours which overlap theirs 7 days a week, but does NOT explain why EMAILING the prices applicable on a specific date when I'm ready to buy is somehow not as 'preferable' to them than as a phone call! Who on earth has ever found an online store that will not email you a price when you are ready to buy their items? Owner also doesn't address the fact I DID speak to them months ago when I had time then, but they kept recommending bamboo that they'd just said doesn't like shade for example then when I said I can't consider it because it will be in shade suddenly changed their tune and said it would do OK in shade! The owner needs to take a reality check and actually address negative reviews appropriately and most importantly honestly and not try and make the reviewer look bad! Wonder if they'll finally explain now why they can't simply EMAIL prices of items to a customer ready to buy? And if they pride themselves on their customer service where's the apology for not even bothering to respond to my contact form - have never received a response in inbox or spam to that and now know I never will - pathetic customer service and terrible attitude! MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: Tried to get prices for bamboo plants I need asap but after sending their online form saw for some reason this company refuses to email prices and insists on phone call I can't make/receive during their business hours. What on earth could be a reason to refuse to give the prices of the items you sell via email when you advertise online?? Didn't even have the decency to respond to my message which is why I went back to send online form again and saw the small print they don't email prices!!! I'd already spoken to owner on phone few months ago when planning garden and it was very obvious I was being recommended bamboo they wanted to sell but wasn't suitable for the position I described, but they suddenly changed their claims on what a variety could cope with so it was suddenly suitable! There are so very few bamboo retailers in Victoria so I thought now months later I've done my own research and know exactly what I want to buy so give them a go, but they've just wasted my time so I'm warning all away from wasting your time here and remember to do your own research and not accept their facts on a variety of bamboo they obviously are overstocked in and just want to get rid of! *Copy of response 14/12/19: "We pride ourselves on quality and customer service. Pricing bamboo is tricky subject as it is dependent on many different factors which is why we would prefer to talk with you directly to give you the best product at the best possible price. We are available 7 days per week so we do not understand why you cannot find a few minutes to talk with us so we do not sell you the wrong product. We have been in this business for over 17 years with many repeat customers. We know what works in this climate as we grow our own stock. We listen to your requirements and suggest a product that best suits the discussion that we have with you. Had a beautiful early Saturday morning trip to look for a screening bamboo up in Bamboo Creations Victoria in Riddells Creek. Nursery location is easy to find. View on the way is stunning in this time of year. Jennifer was spot on for the appointment time. She’s so knowledgable on her product recommendations & calculations; easy to talk with; they have alot of varieties that you can choose from -off course considering each customer’s garden situation; almost all our questions were answered & definitely more appropriate info in their website. We happily ended up with China Gold variety and we’re excited to grow this in our garden.

Then we met Rosy, their sweet & oh so gentle Dogue Bourdeax. The place got more friendlier.

Delivery was quick too...& free... we met the minimum number of pots for a discounted price & for free delivery. Bought on Saturday, delivered on Monday! For your bamboo whims & swash... this place (BCV) is highly recommended!

This place is lovely, to be honest.

All of the plants are very well looked after and even though this place specialises in bamboo, the roses, fruit trees and more are all very happy and healthy.

The staff here are great as well. Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I personally don't know much about bamboo, but I learnt some important advice and enjoyed looking at all of the plants.

They also gave us information and instructions on how to care for the bamboo, which is proof to me that they respect customers and want their hard work on the plants to come to fruition.

The only little issue we had was actually getting to the place. Without Google to direct us, we would have struggled to find the place. Although, I'm told there usually is more signs, so I'll take the word for it! Perhaps a sign on the main road would be nice? Nothing that bothered us personally.

All in all, this place is more than likely our go to bamboo place from now on. I'm sure we'll be back for more! Staff are great, including the dog Rosie.
