Campbells Wines — Attraction in Northern Victoria Region

Prior to this visit, our experience with Campbell”s was limited to its sweet muscats. When we mentioned this at the cellar door, Barry put us to rights by pouring tastes of the entire Campbell’s line up. To be sure, the muscats remain excellent. The surprise is particularly in the robust red offerings. All are solid contenders in their category and a number are excellent. The premium Shiraz and durif wines should not be missed.

In all honesty, the 5 is for the grounds, the staff (Ange) and the pure generosity of the tastings! There are about 30 wines on the tasting menu and the girls are up for you trying any and all without judgement. There weren’t too many I liked out of the 12 or so I tried but just cannot fault the experience. We left with 3 bottles of Amelie which is a beautiful light red, a great picnic wine! Visited the cellar door on Thursday afternoon and there was a beautiful roaring fireplace which was a lovely touch, being in the middle of winter. There is an extensive wine list which includes aromatic white wines, dry red wines and sweet fortified wines.
