We decided to stop over in beechworth on our drive back to Melbourne. After doing a google search we came across Glenbosch and were drawn by the fact it had a dedicated kids menu. We arrived early at 5.20 as we have a 5 year old. The restaurant was empty. We were greeted by Bernice (I hope I got the spelling right) who was warm and personable. We ordered the scallops, kids steak and moo mains with fries for myself and my wife. Ordered gin and tonic and didn't know Glenbosch had their own. WOW! The original gin with dried limes and blueberries was spectacular! I tried the roobios tea gin as well and it was really unique and smooth. Ended up purchasing the original gin and the roobios one. Scallop entree was great couldn't fault. Moo main on first impression the steak looked a little small but the meat itself with the potato gratin was perfect. The fries were super tasty but I think it would be better if they were traditional French fries (skinny ones) with peri peri seasoning offered as an option only. Also, with the kids menu it would be great to see an organic juice as drink of choice and fruit as option as well ice cream. Sorry I would have liked a pasta or chicken or lamb option for a main as well. I didn't see in any of the emails a pick up service from the winery so not sure what happened there. Also, the emails mentioned nothing about coming earlier to enjoy the cellar door. Bernice was great and allowed me to sample a couple of the different gins at the bar in the restaurant. I would only say please keep the kitchen door closed it ruins the lovely ambience of the bar area. Can't wait to go back and sit outside and enjoy a drink watching a sunset (that would be nice as well to be able to come in summer and have some cheese or grazing plates in...

Went here for weekend lunch after making an online reservation. Arrived a little earlier to attend a tasting (wine or gin) prior to lunch. Chose the full chef's table / five (5) courses, whereby you can select an entree, main and dessert from the given options. The other two courses included the chef's 'treat of the day' and palate cleanser just prior to dessert. For entrees, I chose the Portside and Paddock (scallop and beautifully cooked duck with pesto cous cous and mushroom gel. Premium Eye fillet was chosen for mains, which was perfectly cooked and balanced nicely with an interesting cafe au lait sauce. For dessert, I chose the Malva Pudding which was an amazing end with lovely textures of meringue shards, luscious ice cream and soft cake. Shout out to the palate cleanser, which was an experience served at the bar involving sichuan flower and soothing blend the apple and berries (I won't spoil details). Service was friendly and efficient. Smart casual ambience with indoor and terrace seating available. Beautiful surrounds, including alpacas if you are lucky. Prices are quite reasonable for fine dining - $99 pp for a five-course experience. Overall, an exceptional lunch....

Wow, wow, wow….. I could stop the review there!

The winery is located just a couple of minutes out of Beechworth on the southern side, as you approached you can see the prime location for this winery set with a backdrop the vineyards and hills.

We attended the winery were not disappointed, the staff were extremely friendly, polite and welcoming. As you enter you can smell the delicious foods being cooked in the semi-open kitchen area.

We were seated in indoors near the window and ordered a couple of drinks for the table, being a couple of beers, a bottle of Modesto (sensational), an espresso martini and the Glenbosch 2020 Sauvignon Blanc….. All superb!

We then ordered meals which were cooked to perfection, I would recommend the grilled scallops as a starter and the Charcoal Grilled Black Angus Eye Fillet, although everyone loved their meal no matter what it was.

We sat, ate, talk, laughed, drank and took in the magnificent view.

The meal and drinks for 5 people was about $380 which I thought was excellent considering the quality.

If you are in the area and want a high end meal and an absolutely sensational time, head over to...

Landed here with little knowledge about the wine estate or the restaurant, but we leave as fervent fans! The menu is full of delights while being delightfully brief. The scenery leaves you taking regular deep breaths as the green hills fill you with an old, quiet calm. The staff are friendly, and the gins, all distilled on site, are a roulette wheel of wins, no matter which one you land on. Our visit was capped off by a generous and dazzling indulgence from Chris, the truly talented gastronomic guru, who whipped up a palate cleansing three-step experience full of colour, taste and pop! (No point in a hack attempt at detailing this. You'll have to go and see for yourself! From all sides, this little hideaway is a genuine gem.
