What a waste of a perfect opportunity to bring tourist and local families to that spot. Ohhh where do I start... BBQs are broken, some sits too. Male toilet is out of order and a disabled one is a mess with a broken window. Dam is pretty big and spectacular to be honest but there is no access (well not an easy one) to the water. But I guess you don't need one if you can't do anything in the water. No swimming, no fires, no camping, no biking, no kayaking... Nothing... Not even a boat ramp. Apparently there is one but in some other place. Not in a main town (!?!) of Oberon. Oh and no...

Lovely country town to visit with lots to see in the surrounding areas. Strolling through the main town I found a rock cake in one of the bakeries. The Oberon Dam is worth a visit, the Dam wall on Jenolan Street is sealed with a picnic area, however the other side of the dam The Reserve has a dirt road and only a small picnic area behind a fence & gate, nice view of the...

A beautiful spot for spending your time. It is a bit secluded but once you are here the vibe is so great. The sunset views across the dam are phenomenal. Picnic tables and barbeques are set up and you can easily spend the whole day here. Make sure you exit before the stated times as gates close overnight.

WOW. Just amazing. So much water held back by concrete!!. Loved the chlorine storage bunker. Such a cute windsock. I stood at the base and imagined the dam cracking and water flowing towards the helpless townsfolk but superman reversed the earths rotation and saved us all. Lucky homelander didn't turn up.
