What an experience! Our family spent time at the Temora Aviation Museum, and it was unforgettable. The flight simulators were a highlight—our teenager was absolutely thrilled to take the controls of the Spitfire. It’s amazing that such an immersive experience is so accessible, and the knowledgeable staff made it even better with their helpful guidance and passion for aviation. The collection of working planes is impressive. Knowing that these historic aircraft are not just on display but airworthy adds a whole level of appreciation. The volunteers were incredibly generous with their time, happily answering questions and sharing stories that brought the history of the planes and the people behind them to life. We’re already planning our next visit, especially for one of the flying days. Seeing these planes in action must be an extraordinary sight. If you’re in the Temora area, the Aviation Museum is an absolute must-visit—whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or just curious about the area, it offers something for everyone. Highly...
Read moreAbsolutely awesome experience, a great display of airworthy historic aircraft, associated memorabillia and personal accounts from service personel. We were so fortunate to have Bev take the time to share her detailed knowledge of, and obvious passion for, aviation. To look at static displays (which are great anyway!) and to look at the many information placades or listen to the numerous audio stations is great in itself, but to have someone with a wealth of knowledge and passion for the concept was a different level again. Many thanks Bev! Also, many thanks to Steph, my flight instructor for the Spitfire Mk XV1 simulator 'flight' that my wife suprised me with. I thoroughly enjoyed it thank you. Unmissable...
Read moreI have been to the aviation museum many times and love going back. The staff are lovely, everything is well labelled and really clean, there's plenty of room in the hangar areas - just so many interesting things to see. It's even better when you realise many of the planes are in flying condition.
I highly recommend going on one of their fly days which are every 2 to 3 months. One of my favourite routines was watching a biplane drop a ribbon out of the cockpit and perform a series of 180 degree turns to clip it with its wings. The commentary provided is highly informative and the day goes by so quickly.
Can't wait to go back and see the Canberra bomber in the air - I saw it during its restoration and am...
