Padthaway Estate — Attraction in Padthaway

My partner and I aren't drinkers but love history. On our way through to Naracoorte we saw the brown attraction sign advertising the Padthaway Estate and stopped by to see the heritage listed home. We parked up and went for a brief walk around the outside of the home and took some photos of the house and garden. Upon returning to the car, another car pulled up and we were approached by Karen who advised us we weren't welcome to go near the house without asking permission. Personally, I believe this is because we didn't go to the Cellar Door and buy something. So I'm not sure how much of a tourist attraction...
