Spontaneous date day with the dog to see the giant at Marlee Reserve. The sun was out and it was so beautiful. Should have worn sunscreen and got a bit kissed by the UV rays. The reserve loop was beautiful and the water was so nice to look at walking along the board walks to observe was a nice touch. I do think the signage to the giant could have been a bit better. There was a turn off where you had to leave the loop track and walk onto another path to get to the giant. If we weren't observant enough we would have missed it. But we did see the giant and the dog enjoyed her walk. So winning all around.

A hidden gem in Mandurah! At the centre of the reserve is a beautiful wetland/lake, full of paperbark trees. Surrounding it are some beautiful old gum trees. A lovely spot to walk; the trail goes all the way around the lake. There are several benches along the way, and two spots where an elevated walkway heads out over the water. One or the Mandurah Giants is technically on Marlee Reserve, although it is fenced off; they prefer you to walk there from Black Swan Lake in Lakelands. The fence is easily bypassed. Seeing both lakes is highly recommended!

I absolutely adore this place, drawn in by the serene stillness that envelops the surroundings. Towering before me is the magnificent structure of Little Lui, standing proudly amidst the lush jungle. Its unique architecture captivates my gaze, blending seamlessly with the vibrant green foliage. On my way back, I was fortunate enough to spot a group of kangaroos frolicking playfully in the dappled sunlight filtering through the trees, their joyful movements adding a touch of wonder to the tranquil scene.
