Pearl Beach itself is quite a posh area of the Central Coast. Just went in for the drive and discovered the arboretum. I was very impressed with what was effectively a tree museum. 700m (felt like more) of a meandering circular path, taking you through forest and wetland landscape. Established giant trees alongside newly planted ones, with informational signposts everywhere. Beautiful dark green forest with some open land. Evidence of bandicoots around and an extremely portly kookaburra. Saw a snake sign but fortunately no snake was about. Read moreWe more or less stumbled over this arboretum on an exploratory drive. Lots of wetsclerophyll natural vegetation including Cabbage Palms, Macrozamia communis and Xanthorrhoea arborea. The arboretum surprisingly also includes a number of Queensland species such as Davidsonia pruriens and Neisosperma whitei. Labelling was quite good and very good interpretive signage.
