Naragebup - Rockingham Regional Environment Centre — Attraction in Peron

First time I've been back in many years and what a wonderful positive change from the lovely warm welcome you get as soon as you enter to the time and knowledge people have for you when visiting. The place is in much better condition than the last time I visited. Such a cool place to go visit if you are in the area to support such a great cause. So disappointing to hear that it’s run down. The only highlights were the snakes, lizards, the one stingray and frogs.They did look cared for but nothing that it used to be and nothing else they have in their description. Lovely tranquil learning place for kids: lots of information and hands on exhibits about local plants and animals. Bushtucker walk really interesting. Has an indoor pool with fish you can get close up to, as well as live amphibians, snakes and insects. Staff friendly and willing to share knowledge.
