Read moreThis is a moderately difficult walk, mainly so because of the slight slope and loose rocks under foot making it a little tricky. There's precious little shade in the middle of the day too but a reasonably short and gentle walk through the gorge will reward you with not only a good look at the weird and wonderful formations of the Kata Tjuta but also a small permanent waterhole where you might spot some animals come to drink. Wear a hat, bring water, accept the flies (the wind actually keeps them off a bit, so they'll really only annoy you if you stop somewhere sheltered). Read moreThis is a stunning walk leading to a must see viewing platform so make sure that you go to the end and just absorb the peace and serenity. It's a gradual uphill climb but not strenuous approximately one hour's walk from the car park. The path is very rocky and uneven so good walking shoes are a must. There is a very small stream to cross and seats scattered along the walk if a rest spot is needed along the way.
