Quilpie is really the start of your outback experience. it’s not far past Quilpie and you’ll come across the first of the Simpson’s famous red sand dunes. It’s also home to Baldy top. One of the best elevated sunset vistas around. You can see for hundred of kilometres in all directions and Its only 10 or so minutes out of town, we’ll signed, easy parking and an easy for most short walk to the top. Try to time your visit with sunset. The expansive outback views are great at anytime, but sunset...

A must stop on the way in or out of Quilpie. A great spot for sunrise, sunset or Milky Way photography! Easy parking at the base, with good views half way up but more spectacular views from the top. Amazing rocks and a 360 view at the top.
