What a magical experience we had here. We were recommended Mr. Barval by the lovely lady who did our tasting at the vineyard down the road 'Leeuwin Estate' for their exceptional cheese platter- it was my partners birthday, he was hungry and she was right!! We were initially greeted by a lovely young lass who was such a vibe- a real free spirit. She explained the personalisation of the cheese platters and basically said "here's what we have to choose from, put as much or as little on as you like, we will make it work for you!". We picked our delicious local small goods selection and she sent us away with a glass of Chardonnay and said I'll be back in a jiffy with your cheese platter. We got comfy outside patting the dogs and having just an all round great time with the young lady and her boss brought the cheese platter out adorned with a little candle as they sang happy birthday to my partner!! It was just such a nice place and the people really made it. Can not recommend this venue highly enough. Great portion sizes, great wines and the best part? Two awesome dogs wandering around living their...

Hands down the absolute best winery Margaret River has to offer. Some of the finest hand crafted wines in the industry, at an extremely affordable cost, amazing staff with unbelievable service who provide a very welcoming and homely experience. Fantastic location, lovely view, dog friendly, marvellous cheese platters. Can tell the staff have a genuine passion in the creation of the wines and the flavours that burst out of the bottles and into your mouth, with fantastic descriptions of all of these. From my vast array of experience in the region, trying many of the wineries and so forth, this by far tops the rest. Amazing, must visit hidden gem of Margaret River. Have been here a couple of times now and will continue to come here every time I am...

A Small producer, about 14,000 bottles a year. The cabernet riserva is an excellent centre piece wine. It would hold its own amongst any company. At $90.00 a bottle it represents excellent value. More affordable wines are also presented. My personal favourite is the Vino Rosso. I also tasted the Cab Melbec, I tasted it early, it has an excellent bouquet and good legs, but it was still a little full on for a Melbec wine. I liked it a lot, but it will be better.

The winery offers a bottle of Riserva and the Cab Melbec as a dinner pair for $110.00. Inviting a Beef Wellington and a long chat.

In short, an excellent tasting with affordable wines. Including an...

Wow! I think this is my favorite vineyard in the area in terms of wine, service and location. Basically everything important. The cellar door is super cute and you can sit and taste at the bar or you can sit on one of the benches outside overlooking the vineyard. The lady who works here has amazing knowledge and is incredibly passionate about the wine. Once you say which wines you want to taste you get a tray with the wines on it and some water, and you can taste the wines on your own pace. You can also pick a cheese and some crackers to have with it. I cannot wait to go back here and would recommend everyone going by here because the wines also taste insanely good!

The absolute highlight stop of our winery tour of Margaret River. Lovely location around the cosy home of owners and winemaker Rob and Kellie, with our wine tasting guided by Kellie herself. Definitely a great stop to break up the usual 'monotony' of the Chardonnay and Cabernet dominant region with a more European approach to wine and a few interesting varietals along with the usual, like their Viognier Marsanne blend, Petit Verdot dominant Vino Rosso, and Nebbiolo. With experience working with some of the best in Italy and each step of the wine making process done by hand Mr Barval is absolutely worth your time!
