Redgate Wines — Attraction in Redgate

I’m so happy we made the decision to come here!

Our tour driver suggested somewhere else instead but we insisted we wanted to visit, then he admitted he’d never even been here! Well we were extremely happy, the place was buzzing on a cold rainy Monday, we were quickly given a bit of space at the tasting bench and bubbles were in the glass! The wine list is extensive and every wine was enjoyable, great value for money… and no tasting fees with a purchase. Other wineries in the area could take note!

Poor customer service - walked in and was not even acknowledged by staff working. There were others doing a wine tasting but the staff gave no indication that they were aware we were there, not even a “hello” or “be with you when we can”. We were happy to wait but not without any sort of greeting from staff. Ended up leaving as the service was so poor.

We had such a great experience at Redgate Wines this long weekend. Despite being busy with a tour, we were quickly brought into the fold to start tasting the long list of tasty wines that were on offer.

Being primarily a red wine drinker (but always happy to try outside my usual range) I was happily surprised to enjoy many of the whites on offer, and even took a few, despite my leanings.

The reds (to me) are something else chef kiss 😋... so we took a dozen, and probably don't need to visit another winery this weekend!
