Can't believe I overlooked a review on Guide Falls. I have been here often and it never fails to please - even when nearly dry it has character and things are seen in a different mood. From the upper car park the viewing platform is accessible by wheelchair but I would suggest assistance as the ramping is a little on the steeper side. From the lower car park the walk is just over 300 metres with many many interesting twists and turns being able to be viewed in the river below the falls. Sadly, although the track is generally quite good there are a couple of spots that preclude access with a wheelchair - even sadder they would not cost too much to fix and it hasn't been done. If you like taking pictures definitely allow extra time when...

Our favourite waterfall near Burnie! If you want to do a short walk around from the toilets to the bottom of the waterfall, you can! Otherwise, it's also a great view at the top. Wheelchair accessibility at the top is excellent. Park at the top, then go right up to the falls!

They've done well to take advantage of this waterfall from as many angles as possible with paths.

A good tip for parents with kids is to organise a trip to the Farm just around the corner! But it's currently only open on Saturday late afternoon. (Check their listing...

This is a little piece of Heaven on Earth. 💕 We went as a Family and loved the Calm, Peace and Tranquillity Guide Falls has to offer. Nature is So Breathtakingly Beautiful and very healing and it was nice to escape here for the day and See the waterfall and the stream running. 20 minutes from Burnie this is Definitely a place to visit and have a picnic or BBQ. Clean toilet facilities was a bonus and lots of room for all to enjoy and soak up the beauty. I highly recommend this to...

Only a short drive from Burnie. There are two car parks, one at the bottom of the falls and one at the top. A photographer's delight with a number of viewing platforms. It is certainly worth walking the riverside walkway between the carparks. Bonus being able to gain access to the water and walk almost to the base of the falls. Guess it would make a great swimming hole in summer. Park amenities also make it a great place for a picnic or bar-b-que.
