Ralphs Falls is like stumbling into a hidden gem in a fantasy world! The 15-minute walk to the lookout is a breeze, winding through a lush forest that feels straight out of a fairy tale—think mossy trees and a magical vibe. The path is well-kept, so it’s easy for most people. When we got to the viewing platform, the waterfall was epic, cascading down like a silvery ribbon, even with some clouds teasing the view.
We drove up from Ringarooma side and down to Pyengana after. The drive is an adventure itself—narrow, winding, and a bit rocky, so take it slow if you’re not in a 4WD. ABSOLUTELY No caravans, trust me.
The scenery on the way is wild, with views of Mt Victoria that had me pulling over for photos. We loved how quiet it was—just the forest sounds. There’s even a BBQ shelter at the carpark, perfect for a picnic next time. If you’re up for a short, enchanting hike with a killer payoff, Ralphs Falls...
Read moreThe road in is not very well maintained and is very narrow. There were a few trees on the drive up which we ended up moving off the track. You really need to be careful driving up and down and take it slow in case another vehicle is coming the opposite way. There really is no room to move.....so please be mindful. Once at the top the walk down to the viewing point of the waterfall doesn't seem to have been checked in a while lots of trees down. Had to duck and weave over broken branches. Views were amazing.....but the drive is not for the faint hearted.....if you do drive this please take care and drive slowly and keep in mind the width and passing capabilities for any vehicles incoming. Would I go again. Probably not unless they look to widen the road or even put more...
Read moreThis is somewhat a hidden gem! The walk to the falls takes about 20 mins return. Honestly, that's only half the beauty. If you walk the trail that starts in the middle of the car park (not at the roadside), you get a beautifull boardwalk with changing nature every 50 meters or so. You can get a beautifull view of the nearby gorge along the path as well. It is very well maintained and has good markings. The shelter at the carpark will allow for a small group to sleep and cook there on the barbecue, although it has seen better days, it has a decent roof, 3 walls, a gas powered bbq and a rainwater tank. Some picnic tables can be found along the carpark and near...
