Beautiful walk! There are two main ways to tackle the loop: if you head up on the left side (clockwise), you’ll face about 260 steps, while starting on the right side (anti-clockwise) involves roughly 135 steps. The total elevation is the same either way, but the experience can feel quite different. Some enjoy the challenge of more steps, while others prefer the steady incline of the sloped path. For a bit of fun, we like to call the upper lookout the “Cooling Station,” thanks to the strong breeze that’s often blowing up there. It’s especially refreshing after taking the anti-clockwise route—you’ve earned the breeze, and from there, it’s all downhill! Enjoy the videos from the top of the hill.

This is a great walk within comfortable walking distance to the marina at Keppel Bay. The walk is very well formed and kept. We suggest doing it anti clockwise if climbing multiple steps is hard, this is a more steady rise to the summit although if done clockwise there's several lookout spots to catch your breath. I can recommend this little circuit to joggers as well; I did the round trip in around 15 minutes. Walking allow 30 - 45 minutes from car park. There's also a new toilet block and picnic/BBQ area at the foot of the track. Definitely well worth a visit when moored in the marina or visiting Rosslyn Bay Yeppoon.

only downside to this gorgeous walk was my own level of fitness (whoops, working on it) and the mosquito's but it's nature so I genuinely cannot expect much. I actually got to spot a few turtles and enjoyed taking photos of everything around me and just being by myself in nature. barbecue areas and tables were nice and spaced out and upkept. trail is slightly narrow but all other trail users are always nice and step to the side as you cross paths. very lovely walk and highly enjoyed it, will definitely be going back again
