Visiting Black Mountain (Kalkajaka) National Park was an unforgettable experience. The view was absolutely breathtakingâhuge, jet-black granite boulders rising sharply out of the green landscape, creating a dramatic and mysterious atmosphere you wonât find anywhere else. The contrast of the dark rocks against the sky makes for some stunning photos, especially at sunset.

There's also a fascinating geological historyâthose massive boulders were formed millions of years ago and have been slowly breaking apart ever since.
If you're in Queensland and love nature, mystery, and cultural history, this is a must-see. Just rememberâstick to the lookout, as the terrain is dangerous to walk on. Itâs wild, eerie, and awe-inspiring all at once. Highly...
