The tracks to Cathedral rocks is just off the main road by bus stop 11. It is about a 5 minute walk from the main road to the viewing platform but there are a few thing along the way like a recording box and sculptures. We managed to see a seal swimming near the rock and thought that was it. When we looked through the binoculars we found that the rocks had a whole colony of seals just basking in the sun. There were also a few lizards scurrying about ion the undergrowth and under...

About 300m from the West End drop off point ( bus). Worth the walk. Great views of sea lions below. Supet windy- take a jacket (even in summer). It rained whilst I was hear. It was so cold. Beware of winds that can take your valuables to never never land. Look out for big holes in the ground ( mutton bird nests). Easiest way to get here- get the hop on hop off bus. A push bike ride if you are very fit. (So many hills to get here from the main...

Bit of a harsh rating I know but if you’re on a tight timeline, you can probably give this a miss and save a bunch of time (particularly if you’re on a bike). We were happy to see it as we gave ourselves 12hrs on the island but if you got anything less than that it gonna be hard to achieve as it’s on the western most point of the island. Don’t really get to see much besides seals and possibly dolphins in the distance. My...

Great spot. I have been here so many times and the seal colony has always been there to view. Take advantage of the telescopes. I was there a few days ago and also saw a few whales breaching. We swung the telescopes north west to get a better view. It was fantastic. Also saw a few dolphins swimming around. It's a marine sanctuary area so no fishing... But eagle bay next door is fishing Friendly
