Perfect conditions to visit currently after the recent rain as the falls are flowing nicely. Easy access to the upper falls from the parking area. To the east along the road you can find some stairs which take you to the bottom for viewing. This is quite safe and again fenced off. The top is fenced off from the waterfall but you can still see and hear everything clearly, same as the lower area. As you go down the stairs you will find a dirt track to the left. Read moreA great little walk, the upper falls (Pic 3) are easy to access and right by the car park area, just a few steps to walk down, the lower falls walkway is not marked and about 100m down the road, the path to them is not great, uneven and slippery stairs, nowhere to hold on, only go if you have good footing, you crawl a little behind another small waterfall and then can go behind the falls in the cave, it’s spectacular but not super easy - Car park area is tiny and not ideal for more than 5 cars, falls are not signposted in advance so drive slow or you drive past and then have to go 2km down...
Read moreThe falls themselves are wonderful and easy to get to, but the Royal National Park administration cares little or nothing for visitors after they have your money. Parking at the Falls is difficult and limited. Signs are poor and tracks down not well-maintained. There are no toilets. No indication of how far to the falls either, and this is typical of all parts of the Park we visited. Clearly, the Park is not intended to deliver a satisfying, enjoyable, interesting, and valuable experience. It is intended to raise revenue and nothing more. This is a very sad...
