Wow!!! What an Amazing day we had at Oakvale Wildlife. The animals were so entertaining. From the moment we got there there were people there greeting and displaying the animals I was able to hold a snake and take a photograph and the most amazing things that they brought out were a koala bears. They are Absolutely adorable!!! They had, oh my gosh, at least 10 to 12 Koalas and several different varieties of snakes not to mention every farm animal you can think of. They even had a long horned Bull from Texas lol and they had two camels that we were able to feed. I posted a picture of us feeding them. They also had an emu and an ostrich along with alligators it was so fascinating they were all in great health and I was told that they will soon be offering camel rides. We had a personal tour from the owners. Who started the Oakvale wildlife 40 years ago it has grown into an amazing attraction for all of Newcastle it's giving the Steve Irwin zoo a run for their money lol I'm obsessed with their water park inside they have so many fun things to do and their food and drink bar was pretty awesome as well. They offer a great variety of food and drinks for the entire family. They also have a picnic area where you can have your lunch or snack. If you want to spend an amazing day with your family this is the place to bring them. It is extremely familily friendly and fun!!! I must say you have to come and experience it for yourself they offer a year long pass as well. There is so much to see you will need to come back multiple times to truly enjoy the experience. I forgot to mention the Tasmanian devil and the kangaroo they have many of those throughout the park truly a fun-filled day I look forward to our next visit...

Thank you thank you thank you OakVale for a day I’ll never forget as long as l live. You totally spoilt me, from my first greeting with Bel,then the lovely young lady who helped sign me in, the great staff at the cafe with all of that yummy food, to Matt who took me in for my Meercat experience, omg it was amazing, to the cheeky goats who opened the seat of my walker and stole the food, lol, l looooved the tractor ride in fact l went twice, the staff have a great knowledge of the animals in their care, l bottle fed goats and lambs, patted the hugest cow I’ve ever seen as she was being milked, Caitlin your presentation of Johnson the little koala was fantastic, Matt your talk on reptiles was also fantastic and it was great to touch these little creatures, (not the koala), I was very emotional on the day and all of you were so caring, the Splashpool ? Water feature was so much fun for the little children. Lots of families, a school excursion, all so relaxed, on my way out l thanked a lovely lady who stopped for a chat about my day, Angela, you put the icing on my day when you organised for me to personally meet a beautiful koala, I’m 75 and have wanted to meet one for as long as l can remember. I’ll never forget this, and thanks to you and your wonderful staff for your empathy regarding my son Ashley. Then of course l was going to the car and Bel came out and asked if l knew who the man just arriving was, well it was Jeff the man who started OakVale 44 years ago. Soooo l went and said gidday and had a chat and a photo with him. I’m only sorry l didn’t get a pic with Angela as well as Bel , I’ll never forget my amazing experience, thank you ALL so very much. Tightest hugs. Kay Lewis. I don’t know how to attach...

This is one of the coolest wildlife parks and is a great place to bring kids. They have plenty of play spaces, a small water park to keep cool and most important: the animals!! So many cool and beautiful different wildlife to see and interact with. We got to feed baby goats, milk their sweet cow named Lavender, see all of the fun and exciting wildlife and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had a blast and my favorite part was getting to feed the wallabys and kangaroos!!!! The wallabys were so sweet and gentile! They also have a cassowary and we got to see it at feeding time and it was just gorgeous! We learned a lot and had a great afternoon! The koala exhibit was really nice and I like that you can go in there to cool down (it is well shaded) and sit and watch the cute koala just doing their thing. They nibble and cuddle and sleep, and it's totally adorable. Highly recommend stopping by this spot, if you are in the area!! Also I think the most important takeaway was how well cared for the animals were, and how much ample space they had to roam and be free like in their natural environment. It was a really nice place and I am so glad we...

One of the best places to visit if your in Port Stephens or on your way out as a day trip. It works out perfectly if your check out is 10am as the shows start around 10:45am so plenty of time to make it. The grounds are well looked after and the animals look well cared for. Grab a feed bag or two as this will give you more up close and personal attention from the baby farm animals that roam the park and the kangaroos. There is a couple of camels too, which are very friendly. The splash park is an awesome addition to the park. A great place to cool off after walking around and the kids didn’t want to leave. There is a cafe for snacks and sandwiches but they have no problem with you bringing in a packed lunch. Great value for the day and definitely something we would like to experience again. We were here in February just after the school holidays and the crowds just right. Great park, great staff great experience!! They also accept discover vouchers which is a bonus 👍🏽

Legit, the best way to spend a couple of hours whether you are young or old or in between. As long as you love animals you will love Oakvale Farm. I loved it as a child in the 80s, a teen in the 90s, a 20 something in the 00s and I still love it now as an adult. The oldies love it too. It has all the charm of a family farm with but with everyones favourite Australian native animals and a few new exotic friends. Speaking of, there have been a lot of upgrades recently including lemur island and some meerkats. Other notable recent additions include quokkas and a water park for the kids to cool down. Rather stay dry? You can bottle feed baby lambs and kids (baby goats not other patrons), hand feed kangaroos and wallabies, milk the cow, ride the tractor and play on the play equipment. There is so much to see and do. You will love it here!

I had visited Oakdale farm six years ago what a different it is now. They have a Water park now so the kids can play and they have so many different animals from before one thing to see animals in a photo to see them in real life. There’s another thing altogether I enjoyed the ride on the tractor with the big trailer behind it. It was very educational and I got to see where everything was. The barbecue area is really good as well and they even have a party room. I ended up spending most of the day and I found it was really good. The staff was very helpful and friendly and I learned a lot were very clean and I also enjoy their chips from the shop. Nice hot chips. They were cooked really well thank you to the staff for making it such an enjoyable day if you’re coming past Oak Vale wildlife park cooling and enjoy the day Michael.
