Wowsers.......Today I called into Saltwater National Park for a late lunch and to check the surfing conditions which were far from optimal given that there was a small south swell and moderate north east wind (on shore sloppy conditions). Now this is what has amazed me........I turn on the computer at the end of the day and it is inviting me to give a review of Saltwater National Park......Big Brother is alive and well and just a lttle bit of a...

Beautiful area. Great for a picnic down by the creek. BBQ's available and stunning scenery with wandering paper bark trees stretching out over the creek. Public toilets available. Bush turkeys wandering around and we also managed to spot a monitor (small goanna) climbing a tree. Watch out for hoppy Joe's (jumping ants) if picnicking on the grass. We will definately be revisiting with kayaks or...

BirdwatchingπŸ’š It is a cleared path through the beautiful, thick coastal growth, where there are so many bird calls. We walked straight down the path called Five Islands and came to a small bridge, where the trees are tall and full of all sorts of species of birds!!! As a total novice, I was so excited trying to get photos of as many birds as I could, so I could identify them in my bird book.πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

This place is very beautiful. 370 meter walk through trees, near bush turkey to over look the ocean in the hope of watching whales. Photos after the fires od recent weeks. Very sad for everyone and everthing affected (animals) by the fires. Thanks to RFS, Fire brigade, Police, neighbours, family and friends that rallied together to save what you did.πŸ₯°πŸ™
