This is a wonderful little spot, at night if you wish to view Aurora Australis. I was here on the 11th of May and was treated to a brilliant display of Dancing Colours. During a G3 - G4 strong Geomagnetic storm. My camera at the time was not Aurora friendly. So... I may be able to update and put in a photo in the future. The view to the South is expansive and uninterrupted on a clear night. There is very little light pollution and comfortably wooden seats to rest on while you watch. If the Aurora's are mentioned on the news you may have quite a few people showing up on the viewing platform. But a short walk down a well defined path to the left of the platform, will put you on the beach where you are sure to find a little bit of privacy. I highly recommend this spot for...
