Lion Mill Vineyards — Attraction in Sawyers Valley

Discover this little gem. The winery is in a tranquil bushland setting in the hills just a 45 minute drive from Perth. The winery has a good selection of red, white, sparkling and liqueur. Something to suit every meal or share with friends. Over the summer we enjoyed a cold glass of sparkling Shiraz or Rose with our meals. With the cooler months we are enjoying Montepulciano and Tempranillo (grapes grown here with the same quality wine as Italy and Spain) and Shiraz. Worth pulling off the road for! Vines carefully selected for the area to produce quality small batch wines. The semillion is highly recommended. We were surprised to find this gem in an area we didn't usually associate as a wine producing region. Saw the sign many times before pulling over - wish we did it sooner, we are planning our next visit already. They are currently adding an extension to their cellardoor - look forward to...

Cute little winery, driven past it so many times but it wasn't until I wanted a Zinfandel that I discovered this little gem. I recommend the 2019, also the 2020 Durif is beautiful.
