Absolutely brilliant. 10/0…. We only found this place while driving through Aberdeen when we saw the sign for Hunter Warbirds. With my husband being a war buff (especially the warbirds) we took a detour to come have a look. We were not disappointed. Talk about being at the right place at the right time. We got too see Paul Bennett fly over and land the P51D Mustang and Matt He season fly over and land the Grumman Avenger. WOW. Thank you to our awesome host/historian KB, for the 2hrs we were there for allowing us the privilege of watching those warbirds up close and personal. Thanks to Paul & Matt for indulging me with taking photos of them with my husband in front of the birds. Highly recommend you visit this place if you are ever near...

This fantastic collection was based on passionate aviation pilot Col Pay and friends love of flying. The planes are an historical collection of past technology military aircraft that played an import part of aircraft development and their crews. Each aircraft has played a unique part of aviation in Australia and overseas. The different aircraft has their own story to tell about their development and their brave crew. A rare look at some historic aircraft in well maintained condition of which only 4 of the aircraft are not airworthy. All others are flown regularly. All this effort is provided by a wonderful group...

The staff were so lovely and accomodating.

I thought I had booked tickets for the Spitfire simulator for Saturday but after coming in it turns out I had booked for Sunday, and there was no simulator assistant rostered on that day. The lady at reception went and made a call to see if someone could come in last minute for us and Sarah came in on her day off and was super lovely. I felt terrible for the inconvenience but the staff went above and beyond and were so nice about it.

My partner had a great time with the Spitfire simulation and I highly recommend it...

Hunter Warbirds has a magnificent collection of planes, most in flying condition. The place is in transition from Council to new management in the near future and this has effected operations with no simulators, cafe and difficult to use website. Don't let this stop you as there is plenty to see. James, the current employee of Council, did a brilliant job showing us around and passionately providing extensive information about each exhibit...he really brought history to life and made our visit so memorable. We wish James and Hunter Warbirds all the best for the future.
