Fantastic walk and views! Excellent for families as it is not too arduous. I recorded 4.6km round trip but there is short cut which you can take up and/ or back which could make it shorter. The view across Sheffield to Mt Roland and the surrounding farmland is spectacular. Then take the small detour at the top to Charley’s Lookout which gives you an even better view of Mt Roland, although this section is more exposed to wind so can be cool there and as previously stated there a couple of rocky sections on the way. Once you are in the marked track there are plenty of side routes also marked along the way. This is effectively a bush track ie no bitumen and limited maintenance hence there is uneven ground. Also no toilets or facilities. Limited parking.

The local Kentish walkers have done us well with another trail signage update in the area. Easy to follow signage to various lookout points along ridgeline. The Shortcut is steep so recommend to able hikers only, provides an excellent circuit to lookouts. If you are unprepared for a steep ascent, follow the general route (no turn off) which is a less steep path to summit. Fantastic views, diverse landscape and native vegetation. Its a real little network of trails you could easily spend a day exploring, or simply the shorter Lookout Circuit. Parking plentiful with the Wild Mersey MTB Trail upgrades make the walk start easy to find and park at.

One of the best trails around Sheffield. Quite steep at times. Multiple trails available with marks. Take water and be prepared. Toilets are available near the parking lot. It might get slippery when wet, so be prepared... Follow the orange trail for the Kimberly lookout. Others are marked with different colors. Almost 3 hours it took for us to be back with a 20 minutes stop at the top. All the best...

A Fantastic little spot with great views, there are some quite steep bits so you'd want to be reasonably fit, the hike takes about half an hour to get to the lookout and around 20 minutes to get back.

When you get up the first little bit the track seperates but it just rejoins again further up so doesn't matter which path you take, the rest of the trails are well marked with all the little side track lookouts.

Once you get to Kimberley's lookout, you might like to continue on to Charley's lookout which provides a view of the other side of the valley, however note that Charley's lookout involves a little bit of...
