Mundi Mundi Lookout is simply breathtaking. You won't see a panorama of picturesque hills or mountains or sand dunes, but what will hit you, or it should, is an idea of how big and amazingly diverse our country of Australia is. A cloudless sky (well, it was), clear air and an endless (believe it or not) GREEN plain in front, yet to the right, wind turbines. I don't mind that. It helps you realise that there is a resource out here that, through our national Grid supplies power to remote areas or wherever the controllers want to send the electrons. Apparently, some scenes of Mad Max 2 were shot near this site. This place is a couple of kilometres from Silverton. Bear in mind that the road is very bumpy, and you need to look out for the sudden changes in the road profile.
