A calm, peaceful environment with a panoramic view of the coastline. The lookout is easily accessible, and there’s a small parking area nearby. The ocean view is nice, especially on a clear day when you can see far into the distance. There are a few benches where you can sit and take in the scenery, which makes it a good spot for a short break. However, if you’re looking for dramatic landscapes or something more adventurous, this might not be the place for you. It’s a simple, straightforward lookout that’s best suited for those who appreciate quiet moments by the sea. Overall, it’s a nice spot to relax but doesn’t stand out among Australia’s many...

Great panoramic views of the coastline and ocean. Also a great place to view the local birds and turtles. During migrating season whales can be viewed from this location.Has a telescope free for public use. From the lookout we could see the painted Water tower on Slade Point in the distance. Roughly 20mins drive out of the central precinct. There is parking for a small bus, roughly 6 cars and one handicapped parking located at the summit. Though there is more parking located further down before the lookout. Unfortunately no public toilets. Highly...

We used this lookout as a little stop off on our way to Cape Hillsborough. Lovely lookout where you can occasionally spot humpback whales and turtles and seals. The day we visited, it was super windy and was a quick stretch of our legs. We wouldn't go out of our way to visit again however if it was on the way to our destination we would definitely stop by for some animal spotting!

There was around 8 car parking spaces, I can imagine during any holidays in Australia this place could fill up quickly so do bear that in mind

Possibly the most scenic vantage point in the Mackay Region has been updated in the last few years. At the north end of the gorgeous namesake beach, Lamberts Lookout grants majestic vistas of the Cumberland Islands, Slade Point to the north and Mackay’s backcountry. May to November this rugged promontory is also the a great place to watch humpback whales on their migration along the coast. The lookout has been equipped with a stylish pavilion, dedicated viewing areas with interpretative boards and binoculars to help you catch sight of those whales.

The views are breathtaking and beautiful. Seeing whales 🐋 at this time of year is absolutely amazing. Get to see dolphins 🐬 and turtles 🐢 quite often. Watching sailing ⛵️ boats cruise by is so relaxing. Can see local islands 🏝, coal port, and coal boats 🚢. Counting the coal boats is a favourite game of kids. Can be quite windy up there and the parking is terrible 🙄. But is very definitely worth the time to go up there.
