This is a beautiful rainforest with a few different tracks to choose from.
The 5km or 5.5km variation loop that takes you from the top car park to the bottom and back up again is quite technical with lots of roots and rocks poking out on the single lane track. There are lots of little creeks and depending on which variation you take you could see the waterfall, although it’s more of a trickle and a big tree has come down in that area so access to the water there is quite hard now. Expect to climb 200m if you are taking the wider loop.
If you park at the bottom car park there are flatter easier trails to pick, however you’ll have to rock hop over the creek, this can be a bit slippery so make sure you’ve got your wits about you and grippy shoes.
The lower track takes you through the arboretum and there is a beautiful spot where you can walk across a massive tree to cross the creek. it’s not necessary to cross it but it’s a beautiful spot to stop for a picnic and a play.
There is also a short narrow swing bridge that is fun to cross.
Don’t expect much sunlight on these trails because it’s rainforest 😊
