An absolutely wonderful beach tucked away in a less populated area along the peninsula! Even on a busy public holiday, Blowhole Beach was fairly empty, it was easy to find a place to set up and there was a nice distance between us and others in the water. The views were great and the water was crystal clear and there were plenty of walking tracks around if you wanted to heat up before taking a dip. There weren’t any public toilet facilities, not that we weren’t expecting this, but just a heads up to go before you get there - there is one along the dirt road on the way. Another mention is that unless you park at the top car park and walk down, you have to have a 4WD SUV, a lot of the 4WDs were lifted trucks, but we were in a BMW X3 and it was able to get up and down no problem, we also saw a Volvo XC60 and a Nissan X-Trail so it is definitely doable in smaller SUVs. Overall we really enjoyed this beach and I reckon you would too.

When Nature Whistles: Blowhole Beach’s Spectacle Blowhole Beach offers a front-row seat to one of nature’s most captivating performances. The rhythmic force with which the sea bursts through the rocks, creating a spectacular spout, is a sight to behold. It’s a reminder of the raw power and beauty of our oceans, choreographed in an ever-repeating dance. However, while the main attraction is undoubtedly mesmerizing, the overall experience could use some enhancements. e.g., Facilities around the beach could be improved, and signages leading to the main spot can be made clearer. Few touchpoints and the experience could be a raven. Regardless, Blowhole Beach remains a recommended stop for those looking to witness the ocean’s dramatic displays. With a few improvements, this could be an unbeatable attraction. Here’s to the power of nature.

Beautiful spot on the gorgeous Fleurieu Peninsula. Must warn you that unless you own a 4WD to get closer to the beach, the trek from Cobbler Hill is no easy feat. Downhill was bearable, but uphill was tough AF. If the ground is even slightly wet too it will be one hell of a challenge to stay upright. Once we got down to Blowhole Beach it was totally worth it. Lots of great photo opportunities along the way. Toilet facilities are at the very entrance to the conservation park so take advantage if you need. It costs to enter the park too. For 3 people it was $11, so don't forget to book online beforehand. I would only recommend the trek from Cobbler's if you are fit and active. If not, make sure you bring...
