Beauty in many forms. Beach waves sand and parts of a father's remains found in the spot he disappeared to for a walk in the middle of the night, after a casual drive around 2 am arriving to go to sleep tucked under a bush overlooking the ocean from the dunes 1.4 km from the carpark. Only thing is he missed the view as it was dark and he forgot a torch, then clumsily nodded of forgetting work back in Adelaide, but enjoyed that sleep for 4 years in that one spot. Still parts remain from left leg chewed of and draggeg, but accounting now for most of the remaining ones search walked straight past 9 days after that sleepy night. But there may be a little more to it than that as information indicates now after discovery, that perhaps search walked past the place a man chose to just sleep for to long, as he may have slept walked on that following day and wasn't in the spot 20 mins from the car, for a couple of days until he finished his sleep walk and returned there following the...

Waitpinga Beach is one of the best beaches on the south coast of South Australia. Twenty kms. south of Victor Harbor the beach forms the southern boundary of the Newland Head Conservation Park. The waters of the Southern ocean are cold. Next stop south: Antarctica Noted for Salmon fishing off the beach, large deceptively dangerous surf breaks and very dangerous rock fishing. Swimming is not recommended. If you must enter the water keep to the shallows close to the shore and maintain a competent shore based 'look-out' In an emergency there is no telephone reception Enjoy this remote and...

Wild, rugged South Coast beach - a long run of sand, windswept and isolated, yet only 20 minutes from Victor Harbor. A favorite with surfers, but pretty treacherous for swimming. Surf fishing is also popular but BE CAREFUL - warning signs everywhere. I love the coastal bush, and the smell of the salt in the air. Nearly always windy. Lots of walking tracks through the reserve here - sections of the Heysen Trail - make sure you have plenty of water with...

Waitpinga Beach after a storm passed through, certainly worth visiting! Storm or no storm, this is a stunning section of South Australian coastline. The walk down to the beach was easy, there was a nice ‘erosion friendly’ track. When we visited, there were lots of people trying their luck fishing. Sunrises and sunsets here are very beautiful!

We have been there at the end of December in 2016. Its a wide open beach. A favourite place for surfers. The sounds of wave will make you speechless. There are several rock just next to the waves. You can sit and enjoy the sounds without touching water.

I went there few times in this winter for Salmon fishing. The beach is awesome. There is a pit toilet and water available. The drive to this beach is stunning. This beach access is via Newland Head Conservation Park.
