This place is really special. Visited today in the rain and had it all to myself. It’s clear to see how much care, work, expertise and love has gone into this garden. It’s beautiful, and the accompanying museum is fascinating. There was literally way too much for me to be able to look at in my visit today; I’ll be back as soon as I can for another visit (next time with my binoculars for some bird-spotting also).

I’m a bit torn in writing this review, as I want as many people as possible to have this fantastic experience, however I also don’t want to see the place get loved a bit too much like some places around Bruny are becoming. My hope is that many people can enjoy Inala and through that enjoyment, gain an appreciation of how unique Bruny is, beyond the...

I was hoping to see the pardalote bird but it probably requires more skill and a guide . It was great to see such a collection of plants from Gondwanaland featuring plants from Australia, South America, South Africa . It was lovely to see Australian banksias in flower . the gardens were delightful I was especially thrilled that the South African proteas were in bloom as it was Early November and there were so many varieties . I loved watching the bumblebees snuggling into the fluffy proteas looking for nectar . The museum was interesting as well as having a...

This place is a one of a kind garden on the island. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly worker who told me a little bit about the garden and the owner with his collection in the museum. It was raining to the day prior so the grass was wet which affected my jeans and boots - but don’t let that stop you from having an amazing time. As I walked around the place, I breathed in the fresh air, studied the plants & their fun facts, and took many pictures of the place. I would definitely come back if I was in Bruny...

It is definitely a good place for education about nature facts. However, many factors prevented this place from being attractive. First, getting here requires about 5km of drive on gravel road. Second, most of the plants here are flowers, so during summer or winter they’re all greens (so not picturesque if that’s what you’re looking for). Third, there are quite staff shortage here, as I only saw one man there, but he was very helpful anyway, so kudos. Price is $10pp and $5 for kids
