The second of our silo art stops after Tungemah on the way home from Wodonga to Blackwood. Victorian Artist Tim Bothell beautifully portrays the nostalgia of years before our time. Truely amazing how these artists can paint on such a humungous scale and for the end result is incredible. The first ever Coles building is visible from the silos. Such a shame to see that the current Coles conglomerate have not invested in the historic building and preserved it to its former state. Instead the roof is caving in out the back and it’s a total...

We enjoyed this silo tour,the murals like this were fantastic so much work has gone into making them ,and at each one there is an information board to tell you all about it I think sometimes the best bit is these tours take you to towns that you would otherwise tear straight through now you can enjoy the mural and duck over for a cool drink or camp behind the pub doesn't get any...

Enjoyed visiting this section of four towns on the North East Silo Art Trail. We didn't have a lot of time to do the whole trail. Unfortunately, we were not aware that the Barking Owl and its habitat were also painted on other silos. We'll just have to make another trip when the new one at Katamatite is completed, as well as time to reach the...
