We came here on 2 January 2023, many parking slots when we arrived around 9.30am. There are toilets at the lookout / the start of the trail.

It was a challenging walk, 3.1km one way, a lot of stairs right from beginning. 720 metres of elevation in total!

We (stupidly) did the walk after recently completed a 12.5km Bald Head trail, so our legs were still sore when going up Bluff Knoll, took us 2 hours 20 minutes with a slow pace. And 1 hour 50 minutes coming down with multiple stops for photos.

There is not much to “see” along the walk until you are 2km in, where there would be more wildflowers and can see better landscape views. The view at the top was pretty cool.

If you are contemplating between doing this (6.2km return) vs. Bald Head (12.5km return), I would say Bald Head is easier walk with much stunning views. Yes it’s longer but it’s...

A big climb but sooo worth it! Amazing views of surrounding landscape. The climb is lots of steps but the path is well maintained. Our 3 year old did at least a third of the climb on his own. Shame that Dieback and the fires have reduced the number of flowers but we still saw a few. There was water running along the edge of the track - something I would think wouldn't be seen too often. I would definately recommend anyone to have a go at getting to the top - slow and steady still gets...

A truly amazing experience. My first climb of this knoll and was to attempt to see snow in W.A. To my amazement one hour into the hike snow starts falling at 750m altitude this continued on and off increasing in intensity all the way to the summit! Be prepared for sudden changes in weather wind can reach in excess of 80 kmph at the summit with -12 degrees c...

What more is there to say than stunning!! Visited with my venture unit and climbed for the sunrise at 6:30, 2.5 hr-ish climb, freezing before dawn at the peak, clear trails, well marked and fantastic view. Id recommend plenty of water and a windbreaker, it is alot colder at the top!
