A fabulous 360° view of the surrounding hills and valleys is worth the climb, however this is not a climb for anyone with a weak heart or weak knees. The first kilometre is the most challenging with an elevation of 700 metres. After that, the last 500 metres is relatively easy. The steps are a little higher than most because of the ascent. Patience is needed both going up and down but well worth making the effort and allowing time for adequate rest stops. In hot weather, I would recommend an early start to make the trip up and back down in the shade...

Good little walk, great views from the summit. The first half is reasonably steep with lots of steps built in which gets the legs burning. We hiked up in 40 minutes or so and watched a great sunset towards Tolbronup and Mt Magog. The setting sun also casts a beautiful light on the face of Bluff Knoll which is in full view from the summit of Mt Trio. Took 20 minutes going down including a light jog on the...

This is a great hike. I guess you have to compare it to bluff Knoll in which case it's quite a bit shorter, you only cover about half of the vertical compared to bluff, but it's steep straight out of the car park here. The walk then gradually becomes more mellow as your approach the summit. The views from around the summit are stunning and make you wonder why you've ever bothered doing the walks in the...

This is a lovely walk! 3.2km and it is a nice wide trail which is pretty well maintained. :) The flowers and colours in November were still delightful and lovely views from the top. Pretty quick coming down and not too hard to climb. The steps are large, but it is definitely doable. No facilities. Would definitely come again!

What a great climb straight up. 863m above sea level, views are absolutely stunning at the top & the wild flowers just kept getting better. Took us 1hr 30 mins but the do say allow 3-4 hrs on most of the climbs No caravans are allowed up at car park & no toilets

Sometimes motorcyclists get off the bikes and enjoy hiking even in the midst of heavy fog. The trail was short but steep. While catching my breath at the summit, the cloud broke up momentarily. I took a selfie, of course.
