Tiny pools full of life - each a microcosm. Let the children play and run about in the dappled sun. Make up a story about the tiny jungle island in the waterfall pool, where tiny pirates lurk in wait of children who stray too far, etc. There is actually a tiny jungle island at the base of the waterfall, if you know how to see. Probably has its own unique species of millipede or something. Can't vouch for the pirates, but then they were probably busy battling millipedes...
Read moreWas pleasantly surprised to discover a hidden waterfall. To find the waterfall, take the left path at the top of the car park instead of heading towards the playground area.
Look out for a footpath across the stones on the left-hand side and follow it down to the waterfall. The short walk to the waterfall is scenic and enjoyable, with beautiful views along the way. When the water is clear, it's a great spot for swimming.
The park itself is well-maintained and has plenty of facilities for families, including a playground, picnic tables, and toilets.
