Read moreGerard’s Lookout is one of those hidden-gem stops along the Blackall Range tourist drive that you really shouldn’t miss. Perched high above the Sunshine Coast hinterland, it offers sweeping, uninterrupted views all the way out to the coastline, with lush valleys and rolling hills in between. On a clear day, you can see for miles – perfect for photography or just taking in the fresh mountain air. There’s a reasonably-sized parking area, making it easy to pull over straight off the road. It’s not a large attraction, so you won’t spend more than 15–20 minutes here unless you’re picnicking, but as a scenic stop, it’s excellent. The land for the Lookout was donated by the Gerard family. That is where the...

When my wife and I came back down from the lookout he chose to have another dig at me and said 'Go on, have a little cry now.' I have never been spoken to like this by a vendor in my life.. do yourself a favour and get a coffee from the lovely staff in...
