Well what can I say other than once again I'm reminded that we are living in the not so lucky country and you are not free to roam. Most of the conservation park is unaccessible by vehicle though you still can drive up to the towers to take a look but the rest is padlocked gates to keep you out of the park. So as long as you can walk around and still have your health your good but if you can't hike up mountains due to your physical condition then you are disadvantaged by local authorities, apparently you don't mater in this modern society. This is happening more and more as the liberal government continuously cuts funding to national parks and gardens so the up keep of all the trails and tourist drives aren't happening so the only thing that rangers can do is close and gate the access in fear of litigation from the general public when their 4wd gets damaged by the disrepair...
Read moreEpic mountain bike trails just outside Noosa! The intermediate trails are very much intermediate - if you’re not that comfy with roots and rocks and skinny trails be very cautious. The park is stunning and there are heaps of trails (can get a map online). Went in the rain which added some extra challenges but trails all held up so well. Don’t recommend riding through the stream bits, the rocks are super slippery. Love it, can’t wait to head back! Lots of climbs (5 and 6) and some fun descending too but technically you’re on the button...
