Hands down the WORST vineyard my friend and I have ever been to, and we have been to many all over Australia and the world. We arrived to be directed into a cold marquee with a prevailing wind coming through the entrance. (their website does not mention anything about this setup and still displays a cellar door building). Once seated it became obvious the two staff were not interested in us and very disengaged, despite there only being one other couple. The two staff also were not working well together or in sync with each other. As other people arrived we witnessed similar treatment to them so we were not the only ones. After about 40 plus minutes we decided to move on after we repeatedly had to ask for our next tasting. We ended up tasting 4 wines each in the end. When we went to pay the guy was too busy playing on his phone in front of us at the till making us wait yet again. When paying I asked if we put purchased a bottle of wine would we get a discount on our tasting, he said you need to buy a case. (Every vineyard I have ever been to that charges for a tasting will at least give you $5 off) my reply to him was I am sorry but your wine doesn’t work with my palate but your rose wine was ok. So in turn he said thanks for the insult I am now going to charge you $25 each for the tasting. ( we did try a a mix of varieties, 4 tasting in total which was not listed in the menu, you have to choose all white or red etc). With out going on to much more about what other poor remarks where said we paid and left with a very sour taste in our mouth. Absolutely appalling customer service to the end. I definitely don’t rate their wines despite being told that they were award winning. I didn’t observe any evidence of awards on their bottles or awards on display. Don’t get me started on the state of their bathroom facilities and condition of the premises where wine and food was being served. Not one to write reviews but in this case I felt...

Absolutely atrocious customer service. My Husband and I came in a few weeks ago. The moment we entered, we were ignored by the man standing behind the counter for 5 minutes, until he eventually seated us.

When we were seated, a lady came to serve us. We both wanted to do 3 different tastings, to which she replied ‘I’ll just pour you this one first and call me over when you want the next one’. Not at any point during this tasting did any of the 3 staff come over to our table, even though there were only 3 other tables in. All staff went to other tables and asked them if they wanted food and discussed the wines with them, however did not even bother to so much as look at us.

When we eventually got the ladies attention, 15 minutes after we finished the first tasting, we asked for the next one which she huffed and said ‘I’m busy’ and proceeded to inly pour us one of the 4 wines which was meant to be on the tasting.

We decided to leave after this, and not do the other tastings. When we walked up to the counter, the man with the beard, without saying anything else to us, said ‘do you want to buy a bottle’. When we replied no, not another word was said.

We have been to hundreds of wineries, and this is by far the worst possible experience we have ever had. If you want customers to buy a bottle, you need to respect them more when they are in the...

Nice spot in Southern Highlands NSW offering wine tasting and assorted food dishes. The tasting experience offerings (flights) are becoming more of the norm post covid. I am not a great fan but it is what it is. In order to get a good cross section of wines (reds & whites) we needed to either purchase an assortment of flights or matched food and wines for We chose two matched food options for $60. The service was as personable as it could be (I guess) but I miss the tasting at the counter speaking about each wine as they come. This sort of reverted as I was buying wines with ad-hoc tastings offered for free as I was considering purchasing. The wines themselves are well made albeit a lot of the grapes have been sourced elsewhere due to bushfires, hail and extended la Nina conditions over last 3-4 years. We were advised by the owner that the 2024 vintage should be estate grown so look forward to tasting those. Overall, worth the drive for those who like good quality wine and food with reasonable price options. You could use it as a alternative lunch venue...

If you’re ever wandering through Southern Highlands wine country and crave something truly special, Cherry Tree Hill is an absolute gem. Less than 90 minutes from Sydney, this humble little cellar door delivers big on heart, charm, and seriously good wine. Their Mornington Pinot Noir is a standout—light, silky, and beautifully aromatic with a depth that lingers just long enough to keep you coming back for another sip. And don’t sleep on their Cabernet Merlot either—it’s rich, smooth, and so well-balanced it practically tells a story with every glass. But what really makes Cherry Tree Hill unforgettable is the people. The staff are incredibly charismatic and thoughtful, striking that perfect balance between warm hospitality and genuine passion. We felt so welcome, we didn’t want to leave—and honestly, we almost didn’t. This place is a must-visit. Come for the wine, stay for the vibes.

I'm a single mum, and on arrival, I felt a bit unwelcomed. This was due to my mistake being 25mins late on mothers day, I was staying nearby and the thought didn't really cross my mind. I apologised when i realised and lady softened up and was able to accommodate me, & I made up for lost time in a quick tasting. On the plus side, the winery is pretty, and the guy who looked after us was very lovely and kind and we were able to enjoy a lovely brie which sadly they don't sell yet, so maybe next time. The wine flight I sampled was the introductory styles and a little light for my taste, but as I was late I didn't get the chance to try some of the higher end ones which I maybe for another time. I purchased a bottle as a gift for a friend.

We had a great experience with Cherry Tree Hill Wines. We booked pairing chocolate and wine and pairing wine and pies. They were both so good! Great matching! I love their ideas and their wines were absolutely perfect as well especially with their homemade pies *chef kiss*, so tasty and hot, the best in winter like this. Besides, we also tried Dave's lasagna and it was super good too, we paired it with Dave's Merlot. The owner and the staff were also so friendly and helpful. They had good sense of humour as well that could make customers so happy and felt welcomed. Super fair price. Love it. Will definitely come back to try more things.
