Hate giving a one-star review because the grounds and florals are beautiful, however, thinks it’s very important to raise awareness of an incident that happened to my nephew, who got a finger stuck in an ANIMAL TRAP today. Right off the path he saw an old piece of paper which got his attention, and he decided to investigate. Well, cue an animal trap going off. Luckily he’s ok, trip to the emergency department, tetanus shot, antibiotics and now keeping a close eye on it. The reason I think it’s worth writing this review is to warn people with small children or small dogs (there was many at the grounds today). Not one to cause drama but there was no real response from the staff either. Some stranger luckily knew how to release the trap, no idea what would have happened if not. Staff member just stood by, no effort to call ambulance, no sense of urgency, and no attempt to manage the situation. This could have been soo much worse, and the response from staff was not good enough. When I asked why there weren’t signs or warnings if there are traps, I got an “oh.. yeah … maybe there should be?”. …. YOU THINK. Also, does that mean there are more? Anyway, be careful with small kids...
Read moreWe have been here a couple of times! In Bowral Corbett Gardens with the warmer weather have nearly finished! But my wife loves the blossoms on the trees! Because I asked her if she wanted to go Floriade she said no! So this was the better choice for her ❤️ Last time we came we came with friends and they loved 🥰 it! This time we brought our daughter with us ❤️ Our friends online asked us if the flowers tulips 🌷 are still looking 👀 good and we said with the Warmer Weather coming you might have to be quick ❤️ The cost 💲 22 dollars 💵 and seniors $20 dollars so it was on Par with Floriade for a family! But this one is family owned! They brought the land in 1969! And developed the gardens slowly over the years ❤️🌷🌷🌷 well worth the drive from Sydney ! We went to the Aurburn Botanical Gardens but the cherry 🍒 blossoms were early due to the weather and we missed them by two weeks! But we saw them here ❤️ They have music 🎶 and different things on the weekends! We came on a Monday! Last time was on a Saturday but the new toilet and entrance was...
Read moreWhat an absolutely beautiful place to visit. Very easy to get to, just off the main road and it is an Oasis. Not too big or overwhelming but beautifully designed - essentially in a big loop but also with little paths of interest. Flower gardens are stunning, trees colourful, hillside green and birds tweeting everywhere. Food and coffee available on sight. Simple but delicious (sandwiches , rolls and pancakes). Plenty of tables and chairs as well as many grassy spots for perfect picnicking. The most remarkable thing about this place is the gloriously peaceful atmosphere. It is clearly a space created by loving hands and hearts. Beautiful classical music playing around the gardens makes it so calm, enhancing the natural sounds of water flowing. Very well designed for accessibility. I highly recommend this place to anybody who needs to stop, have a break, let the kids run around, admire and learn about nature and maybe take a little home (shop sells plants, produce and gifts). Thanks to the owners for your hard work and for sharing this...
