Barnett’s Lookout offers wide vistas of Berowra Creek, Berowra Valley National Park and Berowra Waters. More Berowra than you thought you needed in fact. Good spot for all ages with half a dozen parking spots, a kid’s playground with a bubbler and a wheelchair accessible path to the lookout itself which is a 5 minute walk from the parking area. In the morning you are likely to see mists in the valley and flocks of cockatoos flying down below you, while the late afternoon offers the chance of a pink-tinged sunset. Just be aware that on humid mornings the valley may be completely filled with fog so you may end up staring at a wall of white. The Berowra Heights shops are located a 5 minute drive from here where you can get food and coffee. There is a bus service that goes past this spot in the morning and afternoon peak which will take you to Berowra station. If you’re a keen walker you can walk from the station but be aware it’s a good 30-40 minutes each way.

Nice views if you are local to the area or are passing by. The view point is approximately 150 metres from the carpark and access to the viewpoint is a well paved / cemented clear path. The carpark is located on the corner of Barnetts Road and Wyanna Street. There is a small kids playground and few benches as well. Important to note that if one is using GPS to drive up to Barnett's lookout the GPS will take you towards Berkleley Fire Trail on which you can't drive past the Berkeley Cl. It is best to put Barnett's playground on the GPS (Barnett's playground's carpark will lead you to the view point).

My mother always used to say to me: "Barnett you better look out, because one day that good for nothing mouth of yours is gonna get you into trouble!" Well, Imagine my surprise, when one day driving around down under on a holiday I found myself looking out as a Barnett at Barnetts lookout. In this instance I chose to not worry about the lack of apostrophe, my daddy always used to say the one thing worse than an apostrophe is an Oxford comma, and he knew some real big words.

Great little spot. The walk to the lookout is along a relatively short, flat and winding cement path which is wheelchair accessible, though I’m not sure that other wheeled devices like scooters are allowed. There’s lots of seating options like picnic tables near the start of the walk, and a bench seat along the way. There’s also some seating at the lookout. The view is very nice though some of it is limited by trees; not a negative or unexpected, just an observation. Lots of Scribbly Gums along the walk, and plenty of grass area for a picnic. There’s a bubbler for water, and a small playground that is likely more suited to older children. There’s a small car park, but no fencing between the playground and grass area and the car park. I didn’t see any...
