Berowra Valley is my favourite bushwalk of all time. This place is pure magic. Wild and diverse, it will leave you with a deep appreciation of a world completely removed from the rat race we live in. We started at 3pm, had a couple hours break in between to soak it all up, but finished at 11pm. The guide book said it was 9km's and takes 4hrs. Our phone tracker said it was close to 13km's. The crossing at Sam's creek was tricky. We reached it at approx 9pm and spent a good 40mins looking for the markers. I'm going to revisit this area in the next couple weeks and add in some markers to help as the usual worn rocks and path were not present in this location. We did not see one person on this walk, adding to the joy but this was on a Friday. It's all part of the Great North Walk so it would have a fair bit of the usual weekend...

Past the viewing platform there’s rocks to scramble over and roots to watch out for, but it follows the path of the creek which is nice. There’s changing environments and lots of animals to listen to. There’s covered seating areas at the start of the walk but it was infested with mosquitoes when we were there. There is also toilets. Car park is massive so there’s lots of parking, and no parking fee. Good for a short and fairly accessible walk. I did this walk with a toddler and pregnant wife and they thought the...

A jumping rope that goes a few metres Very good place to go for paddleboarding or kayaking because there's no speed boats churning up the water and making it a little bit unenjoyable. There's good picnic tables or you can just pull up under a tree and have lunch. It's a little muddy on the edge but it's great to swim in the water really refreshing. The jellyfish don't sting but you do need to have repellent for the Marsh flies You can...
